Italian Carved Giltwood Shelf Mirror

A striking antique Italian giltwood mirror, beautifully hand-carved with deeply sculpted acanthus leaves, scrolling foliage, and an elaborate Baroque-inspired crest. The shaped mirror is framed by richly layered carving and finished with an integrated console shelf above an ornate foliate apron.

The original-style gilded surface has developed a beautifully warm, timeworn patina, with areas of wear and age that emphasize the depth of the carving. A dramatic architectural piece that functions as both mirror and decorative wall console.
