French Cut Crystal & Gilt-Metal Casket
An exquisite French cut crystal casket, dating to approximately 1880-1920. Crafted from substantial deep cross-cut diamonds on the body, large alternating triangular/prismatic cuts around the lid sides, and a more architectural geometric pattern across the lid. The thickness of the crystal and depth of the cuts are significant. It's all joined by its original gilt-metal hinged mount with beautifully aged patina.
A striking example of French decorative crystal, perfect as a jewelry or trinket box and exceptionally beautiful displayed on a vanity or collected tabletop.
