Antique Reliquary Wooden Riser Base
Sourced in Provence, this is a beautifully crafted antique wooden base, originally designed to support a reliquary or devotional statue. The center has a 0.5" circular opening to allow for the statue to sit in. This piece features a hand-carved, scalloped form with a rich gilded finish that has gracefully aged over time, revealing a warm patina and traces of its original surface.
